Sad news…. Teddy Pendergrass widow, Joan Pendergrass is suing his children for forging a will, in an attempt to cut her out of the late singers’ will.
Joan Pendergrass states that the situation has caused her emotional distress, and now she wants to be compensated.

According to Teddy Pendergrass will, he left his entire estate to his wife Joan Pendergrass. However, his son Theodore tried to have the will invalidated by forging a will that stated the estate all went to him. The court eventually ruled the will presented by Theodore was a fabrication, per reports.
Joan is now suing Teddy’s son, Theodore Pendergrass II, and his daughters, La Donna Hollerway and Tishia Burnett.
“The illusion and fantasy created by Theodore, Jr. and propagated by his lawyers,” the lawsuit says, “forced Mrs. Pendergrass to undergo years of turmoil and anguish as her relationship with her late husband was unmercifully scrutinized.”
Joan says the 6-year legal battle with Teddy’s kids cost $850,000 in attorney fees. As a result, she says she has suffered humiliation, diminished reputation, emotional distress and anxiety.
