The White Hart Inn, Winchcombe

The town , which stablished itself with the help of its Abbey, wool trade and production of tobacco, offers visitors the possibility of a variety of walks in the surrounding countryside, around the village, which are both invigorating and full of charm (see the following link for the Sudeley Castle circular walk we chose during our visit) . It also offers a beautiful range of historical buildings, tea rooms and local unique shops.

The White Hart Inn

We first visited Winchcombe a few years back with my parents in law . We did not know the town but felt that staying in the busier towns at the time, required for us to compromise in the type of accommodation we were looking for (a restaurant with rooms) and we had no intention to do so. The White hart inn sounded like a great place and so we decided to drive a little bit further. We were so impressed by the Inn and the town that returned a few years later with my sister in law.

As always, the food (breakfast and dinner) was delicious and our stay fantastic. The service is friendly and unpretentious and one really feels comfortable in what essentially seems to be the hub of the community.
