In honor of Our Lady of Sorrows, who is traditionally venerated on the Friday before Good Friday, here are four relics of the Blessed Virgin Mary in our custody, together with documentation from Cardinal Aloysius Amat. The relics are a strand of her hair (ex capillis), a piece of her veil (ex velo), a piece of her robe (ex veste), and a stone from her tomb in Gethsemane (ex sepulchro). It should be noted that the Holy Virgin spent three days in the tomb, before being assumed into heaven body and soul. This to be like her Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in all things.
