In a recent announcement by the streaming giant, Netflix, The Upshaws has made its comeback with a part 5 and has introduced a “hilarious’ ‘ trailer.
Portraying the “well-intentioned mechanic and lifelong mess”, the series will see returning Mike Epps, Kim Fields, Wanda Sykes, Bennie Upshaw, his wife, Regina, and his sardonic sister-in-law, Lucretia Turner, simultaneously. Besides the primary cast, The Upshaws Part 5 will also witness the return of Khali Spraggins, Journey Christine, Jermelle Simon and Diamond Lyons.
The sitcom’s trailer starts with meeting the expectations of viewers and enthusiasts on delivering an exceptionally hilarious joke; in the starting scenes, it showcased Bennie mentioning an electric car as an “iPhone with Wheels.” Following in the same clip, it also brought Regina and Bennie coming to terms on their children’s dating life; however, it seemed a disbelief to Regina. With Lucretia and Benny’s highlighted relationship, the trailer also showcased Epps’ and Sykes’ portrayed characters busting and roasting each other in every opportunity they get.

Epps’, in a media interaction, gave an insight into his character in a media interaction and shared the similarity between his The Upshaw’s character and his real life scenes. He said that in many incidents, the shooting for the sitcom felt “so real sometimes that I would get upset.”

The baby mamas definitely made it there. Indianapolis is where all the baby mamas are. But that’s what makes the show authentic, and new and fresh. I ain’t never seen a dude with a bunch of baby mamas on TV—not a sitcom. Wanda and Kim were able to capture that good story. In the beginning, I came into the room and Wanda had me in there like I was in an interrogation room. She was asking me all these questions.
On the contrary, The Upshaw’s Season 5, that went n to release its trailer on March 26, 2024, released a synopsis that promises the viewers to showcase
the Upshaws continue to ride life’s ups and downs, including new jobs, bigger dreams, health struggles and some major life surprises but still hanging on with the love that comes with family
A much sought series, the sitcom, The Upshaws Part 5, will make its premiere on April 18, 2024 on Netflix.
