The Upshaws starring Kim Fields, Mike Epps and Wanda Sykes is now streaming on Netflix.
The comedy series is centered around Bennie Upshaw (Mike Epps), head of a Black working class family in Indianapolis. He's a charming, well-intentioned mechanic and lifelong mess just trying his best to step up and care for his family.
He's married to the spunky Regina (Kim Fields), and together their raising their two young daughters. But there is a twist.. He's also the father to a teenage son he fathered with another woman (Gabrielle Dennis). Then there is his opinionated sister-in-law (Wanda Sykes).
With no blueprint, just a commitment to make his family work, Bennie Upshaw is a brother making it happen.
Making for a good comedy series to watch with family.
