There is a wonderful brewpub will (January 2nd, 2017) at The Boardwalk in Plano, Texas. This spot mixes its love for brewing with its love for the culinary arts. The front of the building creates a lively welcome with the live foliage and open access to the brewing process. Upon entrance, a wonderful playground of wood and metal greets you with a random little putting green off to the side. As you take your seat you take notice of the vintage mirrors and long boards that hang upon the wall. Everything on this menu is carefully crafted, so ask questions and choose a “no coast” beer or perfectly crafted cocktail.
The Beerded Lady’s choices of the night were :
Appetizer: Portabella Skewers. The mushrooms were sliced and arranged on skewers upon a bed of shishito peppers with a teriyaki glaze and sesame ponzu.
Main Course: Popcorn encrusted Alaskan Cod. A fish rolled in local Garlic popocorn topped with Jolisco Pepper sauce and olive oil with cauliflower scattered acrossed the plate. I added the Pistachio salad to accompany it; a wonderful balance of salty and sweet salad with red grapes, pistachio and white balsamic.
Dessert: IPA Lemon Bar a lager than life tangy tart lemon bar.
Drinks: Union Bear White IPA a juicy and hazy beer with notes pineapple and citrus and the IPA Paloma… an amazing twist on the classic lady with IPA in their simple syrup.
