The Undone Type XX: A Custom Experience

By Attireclub @attireclub

Recently, Undone launched a new watch, the Type XX, inspired by the heroes of aviation and based on a watch created in the 1950 as a pioneering flight piece for the French Air Force and Naval Aviation personnel.

The Undone Type XX: A Custom Experience

Undone is known for their strong emphasis on uniqueness, ever since we discovered the brand soon after its launched, their focus has always been on offering their customers watches that have so many customization options that you can not only be in a way the designer (or, let's say, stylist) of your watch, but that you can also wear a watch that nobody else will wear. This is a great concept that can be used not just on an individual level, but also on a group level: for example, you can order a highly customized watch in more models so that just the members of a certain group will have them: a watch for a society, if you will.

Upon the launch of their new watch, our friends at Undone have also decided to make a custom Type XX for us, featuring the Attire Club logo on the dial. The logo is sharply printed and looks really amazing. Moreover, it contrasts very well with the white background, being highly visible, but, at the same time, not taking away from the bold design of the watch. And, indeed, the watch has a bold design, featuring a big crown, a coin bezel and bold numbers, thus conveying the dynamic and powerful vibe of aviation. Moreover, its large sub-dials and contrasting hands make it very easy for the wearer to read it, which makes it just the right for those who are always on the go. The new Type XX is bigger than many military watches you'll find. It has 41.5mm in diameter and is 12.5mm thick. The lug-to-lug length is of 48.5mm and lug width 20mm. Even though it is a rather imposing watch, it is very light at just 52 grams.

In terms of style, the Type XX comes in some variations, but our AC watch is based on the black and white Panda model. This model is a very versatile one, as it is based on a chromatically neutral design, thus making a good addition to both minimal outfits (such as a white shirt - dark blazer look) and working as a balancing point for more colorful outfits. The fact that the straps are interchangeable makes it even more versatile, as, through a simple strap change, the watch can go from street party to dinner party. Undone has even more customization options when you purchase a watch, which include options regarding the back (you can choose between an exhibition back and a closed back, both with the ability of being engraved), which makes it a complete personal experience.

Due to its versatility and simple style, the Type XX Panda is, in our opinion, a very good watch for travel as well, especially if you don't have much room to pack a bunch of watches.

In short, what we love about it is the customization factor and that there are so very many options to choose from, but also the design of the watch itself, which works as a great canvas on which you can unleash your creativity. This watch makes a great addition to one's own wardrobe or collection, but it is also makes for a great gift or souvenir. The Type XX is a personal experience and all good style should be personal.

Ultimately, it can be said that the Undone Type XX is a strong presence on the watch market, with a bold design and good technical specs, making it a wonderful addition to anyone's outfits. With its customization options, it can also be a unique timepiece, which is something many people are sure to want to wear.
