“750 million” That’s the total number of people speak English as a foreign language.

English has always been—and will always be the most widely spoken languages in the world. It has penetrated most countries globally, and has really taught a large group of people to widen their knowledge concerning the idiom. Not to mention the recently held Ms. Universe 2011 where Ms. Angola won the crown.
But what fascinates me is the representative from the Philippines where she was the only one noticed to answer the question in the Question and Answer portion without any translators. The rest of the candidates have their translators with them, but for the Philippines, she answered the question in fluent and confident English. Come to think of it, English is only a second language in the Philippines, but it has been excellently spoken among the people living there. That’s how influential the language is.
That’s why people are somewhat compelled to learn English at language school. They know the contribution the language can do that lifts their lives to a higher level.
English has always been the considered universal language online. Even if there are numerous sites written in various foreign languages, the English sites can always outnumber all the non-English sites combined.
English is also the most utilized language of communication. Whether you go to America, Australia, or Asia, you will mostly hear people speaking English because some are indeed do study English abroad, even if it is not their native language. That’s why English is the most suitable language to be learned applied on travel. When you ask for directions or stay in a foreign country you’ve never gone with, English is considered to be the most accessible language to be used during these times.
English is, in fact, also the language of science and technology. Even if there are some who still insists that a particular language should be used in teaching science, still, English sways its rule among the various tongues of men.
More importantly, English is the language of business and finance. Everywhere you go, whether it may be in Germany whose people speaks German, in France whose people speaks French, or in China whose people speaks Chinese, your knowledge in English will still make the business keep running and enables you to avail such employment in various countries globally. That’s how advantageous you are when you are skillful with this incredible tongue.
