What’s the Difference Between Universal and Preferred Luck in Bait Stats?

Read their numbers and fish tastes to make sure you’re using hooks the right way. This is what the bait numbers mean:

Lure: Changes how long it takes to hook a fish.
Universal Luck: Like the Luck stat on rods, this makes it more likely that you’ll catch any fish.
Preferred Luck: This luck boosts your chances of getting certain fish.
Resilience: This trait determines how quickly the fish moves during the mini-game.

Keep in mind that some fish like food that only has Universal Luck. Then the Preferred Luck bonus will be equal to Universal Luck times two.

Where to Find All Fish Baits in Fisch

You have to open different bait boxes and geodes (like Quality Bait Crate, Bait Crate, Volcanic Geode, etc.) to get baits in.

You can fish, complete tasks, buy them at vendors and the Traveling Merchant, or open a box or geode to get about 3–6 hooks of a random variety.

Moosewood Island and Snowcap Island have quests that you can do to get hooks for free early in the game.
