Ultimate Blog Party 2013

Hi my name is Tracy. I’m a single mom to a 17 year old son and a soon (like next Tuesday) to be 8 year old daughter. So while I am enjoying this party I am also getting ready for my girls.

I love to read, always have. So this is where I will post my reviews on the book I have read. I read mostly Romance books with some Sci Fi, Fantasy and Young Adult books thrown into the mix. Along with a smattering of kids books that I have read with my daughter. My son who has no interest in doing any more reading than his classes make him do is no help in this at all.

My son, who is tall and skinny is an avid cross country runner. He is currently suffering through his track season, he dislikes track as much as he loves cross country. So in fact track is just practice for cross country – because he also is pretty lazy and  does not like to get out and just run on his own.

My daughter, well she is a little perfected version of me. Every day I am amazed at how like me she is. She is a swimmer, and after finally getting over her fear of deep water will be on a swim team this summer. Which should be loads of fun, and will bring back the  memories of when her brother also was a swimmer. She is looking forward to her schools running club, and has both fingers and toes crossed that she made it.

As far as me, most times I find myself struggling to keep up with both kids. Those days where I go from helping with calculus homework to 2nd grade math can really fry your brain. But when it seems that I’m sinking rather than floating a good nice trip into a book usually is the break I need. I enjoy seeing my kids grow and watching them mature. While I obsess that my son is never going to get out of high school and into college.

I think my tag ling on twitter summarizes me pretty well:

Mom to a 17 yo son and 7 yo DD. Avid reader, and anything my kids are into. Enjoying the roller coaster of life these days, and trying to laugh more than cry.
