Posted on the 26 November 2023 by Sirmac2 @macthemovieguy

Rumor has it that the team behind the new Scott Pilgrim show on Netflix have no plans to do a second season. Just an FYI for fans. Then again, the Strangers Things guys were only going to make 4 seasons, and they made more. So, peoples minds can be changed. And we’re probably getting a third season of Big little Lies.

1) Goosebumps (Disney Plus)

English Audio Description?: Yes

Status: Not Yet Renewed

In what is likely the penultimate episode, a nod to the Give Yourself Goosebumps books, the kids are trapped in the Biddle house as Biddle is after their parents. There is no way to warn them, as they seem trapped in the photo album. Also trapped? The real Nathan.

Episode Grade: A

2) Get Gotti (Netflix)

English Audio Descritpion?: Yes

Status: Limited

This docuseries rolls further on, exploring the attempts to convict Gotti, while also discussing why he was an icon of his time period. I’m enjoying this so far, and it seems well produced. I’ve only known about Gotti what TV and Movies have shown me before, so this makes total sense for me to not break that tradition.

Episode Grade: A-

3) Wolf Like Me (Peacock)

English Audio Description?: Yes

Status: Not Yet Renewed

Oh no. Is that a potential normal lady for josh Gad to flirt with? And after his wife almost killed him while in wolf form? Is he thinking about what a normal life would be like?

Episode Grade: A-

4) The Gold (Paramount Plus)

English Audio Description?: Yes

Status: Limited

The longest limited series (at least it felt that way) is finally over. As one might expect, the final episode was actually quite good as the house of cards came tumbling down, but damn it took a long time to get there. I’m all about having well developed characters, but this whole series could have been 4 episodes max.

Episode Grade: B+

5) Happy Endings (Roku)

English Audio Description?: No

Status: Ended

TJ Miller guest stars, and wedding bells are in the air… since it’s possible that Max was not an actual ordained minister the last time he officiated a wedding.

Episode Grade: B+

6) Home Improvement (Hulu)

English Audio Description?: No

Status: Ended

While I appreciate the sentiment, it is a ridiculous notion to have Tim turn down the opportunity to go to space because Mark’s girlfriend broke up with him. Tim is not a single parent, he’ll be back, and it’s space. Mark will date again. Taran Noah Smith might not, but Mark will. You know they’re trying to figure out a way to revive this? That’s a little hard given that only one of the three boys stayed out of legal trouble.

Episode Grade: C+

7) Step By Step (FreeVee)

English Audio Description?: No

Status: Ended

I’m not sure I ever fully understood why Cody was there. It’s likely I missed the episode where Suzanne Somers point blank reminds him that he’s a part of the family because he is Frank’s (Patrick Duffy) nephew. I think I assumed he was always like the Steve Urkel of the show. The annoying neighbor that is always there.

Episode Grade: B-

8) Bosch Legacy (FreeVee)

English Audio Description?: No

Status: Renewed?

Maddie is still recovering from being trapped and almost dying, while Bosch needs to fix his house. but, crime doesn’t just stop happening, and some investigators are looking into something Bosch did back in the day, and there’s also a new murder to solve.

Episode Grade: B+

9) Veep (MAX)

English Audio Description?: Yes

Status: Ended

Selina is still trying to figure out when to announce her candidacy when the President changes from Pro-Life to pro-Choice, and then she has to actually make a choice. i thought this episode was hilarious, because instead of her choosing based on her own beliefs, she’s choosing based on political advantage. So, no matter where you stand, this episode should work for you, because the satire is with how politicians often just say what they think we want to hear, and not what they actually believe.Well done.

Episode Grade: A
