TV news: I did notice a shoutout from Descriptive Video Works that they will be doing live audio description for this season of America’s Got Talent (presumably for the live shows), which start soon. I’m not watching this season, and haven’t watched in forever, but if you are a fan, make sure to catch that live AD. it might not port to Peacock.

TV Shows: The umbrella Academy: S4E5 (Netflix) with audio description, The Arc: S2E3 (Peacock) with audio description, Unstable: S2E4 (Netflix) with audio description, Tales Of The TMNT: S1E7 (Paramount Plus) with audio description (see note at the bottom), Justified: S6E? (Hulu) no audio description, Last Week Tonight: most recent (MAX) no audio description, and Solar Opposites: S5E1 (Hulu) with audio description.

Podcasts (All through Apple Podcasts using speed modification): American Fever Dream (Fred Trump interview) Something You Should Know (Food Waste), and the NPR Politics Show (Politics)

YouTube: FishJelly Film Reviews (Review: Borderlands), Adam Does movies (Review: cuckoo)

Movies: The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on The Run (Paramount Plus) with audio description, Footloose (Paramount Plus) no audio description

My note for the day, aside from wanting to go into the Umbrella Academy thing that is giving me a lot of rage right now, is that if you are planning on watching Tales Of The TMNT, there’s a hard switch between Ep 6 and 7, almost like this show was intended to be released in two parts. the first 6 episodes tell a story that could have played as a movie (albeit a long one), and then Episode 7 starts a brand new story, and even incorporates the mutants from mutant Mayhem. My one note here, would be that the audio description does introduce these mutants who are mostly deep cuts for TMNT fans, with no discernible character description. I can’t remember how much they got in the film, but a lot of these characters just aren’t heavily featured. maybe passing references to what animal they are mutated with. I was a pretty big ninja Turtle fan from my childhood, and I think I knew most of them, and even had some of their action figures. I distinctly remember Mondo Gecko, and his name is a giveaway, but Scumbug doesn’t actually suggest which bug. Y’all feel me? Although, I either had a Baxter Stockman action figure growing up or Scumbug.
