Sometimes I wonder… will we ever get to see the second season of Chad? I know it was cancelled by TBS, but it completed shooting. It was actually cancelled the day it was supposed to have its second season premiere. Did anyone buy the completed second season? Tubi? Roku? Anyone?
14) Clarissa Explains it All (Paramount Plus)

Fergus breaks something in the house, and blames it on ghosts, which leads them to doing a seance for some character we’ve never met before with a ridiculous name. It swings for the fences, but strikes out.
Episode Grade: C
13) Cheers (Paramount Plus)

Rhea Perlman takes center stage as her ex strolls back in, which he apparently must do every season, this time for a dancing competition and gets her believing again, only to prove to still be an asshat.

12) White House Plumbers (HBo MAX)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Limited
Just as I feared, this continues the trend of “I don’t need to see this again.” I don’t need another Waco series. I don’t need to watch Candy kill again. And after watching Gaslight, White House plumbers is a lot less interesting. Actually, I was kind of bored. Sad, but true. I think those that like this show, don’t have a Starz subscription, and missed out on the Julia Roberts/Sean Penn led series. Granted, these two have a different starting perspective, but there’s something to be said about having your leading character somewhat grounded in reality versus not.

11) Boy Meets World (Disney plus)
English Audio Description?: No

While I love this show, it got very “Afterschool special”, with Eric coming back to the school to talk about peer pressure to the sixth graders after experiencing that Topanga has a crush on him. See? Cory and Topanga weren’t always meant to be.
Episode Grade: B
10) Shrinking (Apple Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Renewed
While I do really enjoy Harrison Ford’s storyline, and enjoyed the scenes he shared with Wendie Malick this episode, he’s not the lead. Jason Segal is. And, that’s where it loses me. Also, this ensemble cast has grown to possibly a bit much in one season. i know a lot of them are probably ‘recurring”, but damn.
Episode Grade: B
9) Futurama (Hulu)

Status: Revived
Fry finds out he’s stupid rich, which obviously won’t last, as mom wants his anchovies. And no, I’m not explaining it. That’s what the episode is about.
Episode Grade: B+
8) Bupkiss (Peacock)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Renewed?
As if getting Edie Falco and Joe Pesci wasn’t enough, Pete Davidson gets to roll with Bobby Cannavale in the second episode. it has some solid moments, in a mostly somber episode dedicated to the memorial of his father, but Cannavale steals this episode.
Episode Grade: B+
7) My Kind Of Country (Apple Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Unknown
Not really sure why the final five basically all performed in recreations of their bedrooms, but I agreed with the elimination. Real talk though. Only one of these four is an actual country singer. The other three would need a lot of molding, or we’d never hear from them again.
Episode Grade: B+

They try to convince the twins that they want to be friends, and they bought them a gift, but that doesn’t go as planned.

5) Queen Charlotte (Netflix)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Not Yet renewed
Four sex scenes in the second episode. This is really in the true Bridgerton spirit. However, it’s holding back secrets and plot points a bit, and it’s a little obvious. Especially with how the second episode ends. However, Charlotte has an assload of kids, so she and her King must be procreating frequently.
Episode Grade: A-
4) All In The Family (FreeVee)
English Audio Description?: No

First, the episode was all about coming home from work and the dynamic of the household, which later became Michael having an appendix situation, and needing surgery. but from a female doctor? Archie has some thoughts on that.
Episode Grade: A
3) Friends (MAX)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Ended
Another memorable episode as the gang throws Rachel two different parties in the two different apartments so Rachel’s mom and Dad don’t cross paths. It’s a comedy of errors, but everyone is fully committed. Even Gunther has lines. Ross really does a lot to keep the peace, but Joey wins for the biggest swing of all at the end.
Episode Grade: A
2) The marvelous Miss Maisel
English Audio Description?: YesS
Status: Final Season
This garbage musical is perfection. Someone should perform it. but, the weight of the world really does come down on Suzy as she feels what it truly means to be connected. Abe has a truly great scene, that is so totally Abe, and Tony Shaloub should get some major props for this silent sequence.
Episode Grade: A

Delroy Lindo should be up for an Emmy. Edwin takes his family back to Alabama with him so he can get his birth certificate, and it’s a bit of a culture shock for his daughter and grandson who had no idea what growing up in Alabama during a certain time period was really like. It’s explored a lot here, even though Edwin clearly doesn’t want to dig up old wounds. When he finally locates his birth certificate, he’s denied it, because he has no ID. but he can’t get the ID without the birth certificate. So, he doesn’t exist. This episode becomes a perfect representation of the struggles that people have to go through to have what we consider an acceptable form of identification, even though we know who they are, and they know. They didn’t need his identification to put him in jail, and certainly don’t need it for tax purposes. But, here, in this county? Denied. A really great performance from Lindo, and the best written episode of the series so far.
Episode Grade: A+
