Well, I tried something new. It did not satisfy me. It also did not have audio description. The other five shows did though.
6) Willow (Disney Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
I feel like this show is stuck, in the 7th episode of the season, and it’s a show that can’t really afford to get stuck. When they don’t ahve a lot of action, it reveals how bad the casting was for this series. I wouldn’t mind seeing most of these young actors again, but on shows that make sense. This just feels so childish at times, and this episode that featured a ton of whining and complaining just highlighted all of that.

5) The Way Home (Hallmark/peacock)
English Audio Description?: No
Sorry sports fans. The new Andie Macdowell series doesn’t have audio description. It’s also just two notches about the overly soapy and dramatic writing of Virgin River. I think there could be an interesting show here, but I need the audio description to go the distance. The show opens up with someone running through a forest being chased, and taken out of context with no audio description is a weird way to open this show.

4) That 90’s Show (Netflix)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Getting a bit more 90’s. There was a reference to the summer doldrums full of reruns on TV, as well as a video rental store. Clerks was the film of mention, and Free Willy was dropped, so I’m starting to get an idea of about when this show takes place. Also, references to Party of Five and Grace Under Fire. We are mid to late 90’s.Oh, and now instead of being drunks, the new kids tried pot. I still don’t like any of them. But, they’re not going anywhere. I actually am enjoying this more for Red and kitty than anything else right now.

3) The Best Man: The Final Chapters (Peacock)

As the crew all seem to be reaching unparalleled success, some cracks start to show in the foundations of many of their storybook lives. Again, as someone who missed the sequel, this was not hard to get into at all.

I love the multiple references to Facebook and hoodies in this episode, right to Jesse Eisenberg’s face. So great. But I wanted to punch his boss in the face when he was passed over for a promotion because he’s having to try and keep all these things in the air because his ex wife vanished.Somehow, that lost him the promotion, despite 15 years at the hospital. if that guy is that myopic, fuck him, throw him from the building. “You haven’t been around a lot the last week. Even though you’ve been around a lot for the last 14 years, these past couple weeks of your personal life made me hire someone else.” That, is what you call an asshat.

Our leads get stuck in the city and are now being hunted by a militia, as well as a Yellowjacket.Shoutout to Melanie Lynskey for joining the show in what I can only assume will be a very very long arc on the show, and will have no conflicts with any other shooting schedules.
