After the immense success of their first outlet in Indiranagar, Three Dots and a Dash has now opened their new outlet in South Bangalore. Located in the picturesque bylanes of JP Nagar, the outlet has an old-world charm with tropical feel. The outlet is spread over 6000 sq.ft. with a rustic ambiance. The place is famous for being the first Tiki Bar in the city and the newest outlet takes the whole experience one step forward. Three dots and a Dash is the morse code for the letter ‘V’ and that was used to symbolize victory.
The menu at Three Dots and a Dash is refreshing with a special focus on Tiki cocktails and lip smacking grub. We tried couple of cocktails ourselves like Ku, Pineapple Paradise, Zombie Punch and the Sid Old Fashion among others. All the drinks conceptualize tropical settings of the Caribbean’s and are damn refreshing. The presentation of each of the drink was unique, something that we haven’t seen anywhere. Our favorite drink was the Pineapple Paradise which is made with Pineapple juice and takes you straight to the beaches. The Sid Old Fashion was made with cinnamon smoke and is accompanied with chocolate, extremely unique!
The food menu at the outlet is also interesting. We tried their Melon Feta Salad which had watermelon, lettuce and feta cheese tossed in Balsamic vinaigrette. The taste was mild and the combination of watermelon and feta cheese was great. Next, we had the Tum Yum Soup with exotic veggies. It was a clear soup with a spicy touch. For starters we had the Beet Beet Zing Kebab and the Peanut Tikki. Both the kebab’s were mild in flavor best tried with the cocktails.
The main course menu at Three Dots and a Dash comprised of Veg Hawaiian Curries, Noodles and the Cottage Cheese Pizza. The Hawaiian Curry was very close to Thai Green Curry and was served with rice. But my favorite among all was the Veg Noodles which was super spicy and had a sweet finish. The dish was made from udon noodles and was extraordinary. The Cottage Cheese Pizza was nothing less than awesome. The Paneer chunks are grilled before being added on the pizza giving it a charred rustic taste. Must try!!
We also tried the Butter Raisin Cake. The combination of raisins and butter is mashed well to form the cake and is served with vanilla ice-cream. Liked the subtle flavors of the cake, but a bit dry for me.
