The Thing About Rejection...

1. Rejection is not the same as being heartbroken. At all.
2. It can actually cause a physical ache. Who knew that bruise on your ego could form in your stomach?
3. This is something I tell to everyone I know who didn't get their heartbroken, but more so got rejected. You were barley interested in person A or person B when you had them at your feet, but now that they're with person C you're all the sudden sick over it? Most of the time when we want something we can't have, it means we didn't actually want it in the first place.
4. One of the things that hurts the most about rejection is being embarrassed. What will everyone else think? I don't care that this person I've been dating for 3 weeks that I didn't even like finally decided that he didn't even like me either...but what will my parents say? My best friends? Ugh.
5. It's not fun, but you'll get over it. Fact.
6. The best way to get over someone, is to actually give somebody else a fair shot.
7. When one door closes another one opens.
8. This quote can't explain tragedies and sickness, but on a smaller scale when it comes to love/dating....I think the quote is 100% true. Everything happens for a reason. It may take you days, weeks, month, a year to see why this happened, but one day you will get it.
9. If the same person rejects you twice, no one will feel bad for you the second time. Or third, or fourth..
10. Don't ever be that person that asks was it something I did? What could I of done differently? (Sorry, fresh off the Bachelorette season) But when Des was asking Brooks those questions, I actually had to walk out of the room. It made me crawl out of my skin. If she would've just said to him "Okay, I'm sorry you feel that way I hope this is a decision you're prepared to deal with for the rest of your life" and walked away, he probably would've been a lot more confused than her begging and crying and choosing that time to tell him she loved him. The truth is, some people don't know what they have till it's gone, but at the same time you have to actually be gone for them to realize this concept.
