The Summer of Impossible Things by @rowancoleman

By Pamelascott

Thirty years ago something terrible happened to Luna's mother. Something she's prepared to reveal only after her death.

In settling her mother's affairs, Luna finds more questions than answers until something impossible and magical happens....

Luna meets her mother as a young woman back in the summer of 1977. If she can truly travel back in time, she can change things. But in order to save her mother's life, will she have to sacrifice her own?

Oh, my God, I was in floods of tears so many times listening to this. I was a total wreck by the time I reached the end. I'd never heard of the book before and bought it at random when it was on sale for £1.99 on Audible. What a bargain. I loved the story. It was so original. Imagine if you could go back in time and see your parents at the cusp of falling in love? There is also so much sadness in this book. Luna's mother has committed suicide before the book starts and when she finds out why she becomes obsessed with changing the course of her life. Some big issues are addressed such as should you change the past if you can? This is a beautiful, joyous book. It shattered me.
