The Successes of Progressive-Left Zionism: Speaking the Truth

eagleEvery now and again I find myself happily surprised by people who I have taken to be political adversaries.
"Fizziks" has just published his debut piece as the new editor of the Progressive ZionistIt's Time for Recognition, Truth, and Reparations and he has boldly taken a difficult step.
The reason that I consider this piece important is because it represents a certain kind of a breakthrough.
Progressive-left Jewry has been exceedingly reluctant to criticize political Islam for reasons that are, frankly, not very difficult to understand.
On the morning of September 12, 2001, I was one of that ten percent of Americans who still simply did not trust George W. Bush.  From that moment until the election of Barack Obama, most of the Jewish left, including me, suspected that conservative and Republican reaction toward 9/11 was more politically and financially motivated than it was out of any real sense of national security.
We may have been wrong or we may have been right.
I am here to tell you, however, that times are changing and perhaps our left-leaning Jewish friends might be willing to finally make a stand.
Fizziks did, anyway, and he absolutely should be commended for that because it is so rare.
