Story: The Standoff at Sparrow Creek starts in the aftermath of a shooting at a police funeral. Gannon (Dale) joins his fellow members of a militia group and the group discovers one of their own might have been behind the attack. The leader of the group Ford (Mulkey) decides to get Gannon to use his own experience in the police force to figure out which one it was.

As Gannon conducts his investigation, he learns more of the darkest secrets of the members. However, he can’t figure out who is behind it. This sees him racing against time to figure out who it is before the whole group gets accused of something they never did.

Verdict on The Standoff at Sparrow Creek

The Standoff at Sparrow Creek is a thriller following a militia group who believe one of their own committed a mass shooting. It follows one of the group trying to discover the secrets of the rest while keeping calm because they could be innocent.

This is a tense thriller that uses the aftermath of a shooting to create tension around who was behind it. It is nice we didn’t need to see the horror events and it shows us how the people being accused could act. Each interrogation feels intense as they all reveal something disturbing about the group. This is a movie that leaves you shocked by the truth and motivation behind everything unfolding.
