the Witcher- One day, I may find someone, fall in love, and they may say to me… The Witcher. I’ve never seen it. In that moment, maybe, I will watch it, long after the series has finished. when I can binge watch start to finish without interruption, and understand what is happening. In the meantime, I remember not loving last season, and I came in just to see how swapping Liam Hemsworth in would work. Hiss character is mostly the strong silent type, and Hemsworth tries to darken his voice a lot. I don’t think blind audiences will have a distinct notable difference, since it appears Liam is trying to sound like Henry, but I never have a fucking clue what is going on. Not the fault of the AD. The breaks between seasons don’t help. I remember the handful of main cast, but that is it. Will I watch the next episode? I don’t know.
Robin Hood- Good lord this was boring. For MGM Plus, which has given me a few surprises that I’ve loved, this isn’t one of them. but, thank God someone finally adapted Robin Hood for the screen, am I right? One of the most underrated works to go completely unadapted. Never before. Zero films or TV shows. If you plan on doing something with Robin Hood, actualy do something with him. The last time I saw Robin in his own TV show was in the 2000’s on BBC America, and that show was more entertaining. A new AD company I’ve never heard of won the rights to describe this. they make some choices I wouldn’t, like “she makes eyes at him”, but it isn’t a bad track. It just isn’t a great one. Good luck telling me what all these characters look like, by the way. I’ll just assume we didn’t go Hamilton here and they found a ton of white actors, because there’s no mention of an intentionally diverse cast anywhere.
Star Wars visions- Not the best thing I’ve ever seen. Descriptive Video Works is doing the AD here, which is well written, but I just didn’t love the episode.
Ghosts- For Halloween, ghosts revived a Mummy. Good times. this cast is perfect together, and it’s a shame they don’t get rewarded for being one of the tightest and best ensembles anywhere across linear or streaming.
Have I Got News For You- same old stuff. I knew the Niki Minaj thing.
Matlock- the firm smells a rat, and someone’s head is going to roll. Will it be one of the main cast? By the way, missed opportunity to reshoot this and have billy get the axe since he’s about to vanish soon anyway.
Loot- The fake version of Molly was funny. season 3 isn’t working for me, compared to the first two. I don’t know why. I feel like I’m willing myself through, and i love Maya and MJ. Did their old writers quit? Why isn’t Loot as funny anymore?
