The Small Screen Diaries: 10/10/24

Thanks to all that reached out. All things considered, I’m very blessed. I didn’t sleep Wednesday night, as this hurricane was pretty intense. 3.2 million people are without power rights now, so the fact that I have power, I am very blessed. that being said, I had a hard time staying awake yesterday. So, enjoy a rather sparse diary despite the fact I was just sitting at home.

TV Shows Watched: Citadell: Diana: S1E1 (Amazon) no audio description, Agatha All Along: S1E5 (Disney plus) with audio description, Tomb Raider: The Legend Of Lara Croft: S1E1 and S1E2 (Netflix) with audio description, Starting Five: S1E3 (Netflix), Frasier: S2E5 (Paramount Plus) with Audio Description, and Abbott Elementary: S4E1 (Hulu) with audio description.

Podcasts: I listened to one of the Marvel podcasts.

YouTube: Ryan Castleman (Review: The Apprentice), Fish Jelly (Review: Wolves), and Jeremy Jahns (Review: Joker Folie Aux Deux)

Movies: We Grown Now (Netflix) with audio description

So, clarification on my TV Shows watched list. I only watched maybe five minutes of Citadel: Diana. when I realized Amazon didn’t bother with audio description, i decided not to bother with Amazon’s newest international entry. If Apple ca describe all their shows, Amazon has the money.Especially if you are tying it into the Citadel franchise.

My other hot takes are that I correctly predicted the character of Teen on Agatha All Along, as he gets revealed in the 5th episode. And, I’m glad to know that ABC has stuck with the mediocrity of audio description for their really only truly successful sitcom. I’ve been hearing Vito on more things, but he is such an odd pick for this show, and the writing is still underwhelming. but, I wasn’t the only one saying that last season, and ABC made no changes. I suppose I should be happy it just made it to Hulu, since day after audio description has seemed next to impossible for some other ABC shows.
