TV News: Ding Dong, the Shit Is Dead. Netflix has thankfully put That 90’s Show out of its misery. I would have been happy with them also announcing that Season 3 would be only red and Kitty, somehow, because those two were still great after all these years.

First off, please check out the new episode of The Dark Room, where Lee and Alex got two special guests to talk about horror films. Two sighted guys who have both experienced audio description talk about their initial reaction to what it is, and I think that’s great. i also agree with lee, that whenever possible, jump scare description should be after. Great episode.
Hot Takes:
The Rings of Power- I only ever had really one issue with the audio description and that was that i didn’t quite understand the difference between the Hobbits and their desert counterparts. Otherwise, a strong season finale capped off a better second season.
Dr Odyssey- I don’t know what is going on with the new shows this season and why audio description passing through is so hard. Does this show even have audio description? I haven’t heard it. And, this show is boring me to death. It is truly stretching my patience with how much I like Joshua Jackson.
Love Is Blind- So I’m trying to branch out a bit for all of you, and I jumped into Season 7 of this show. What the hell have all of you been watching? I mean, conceptually, this show is nuts. These couples talk a few times, and they’re like “I’ve never felt this way before, and will you marry me?” The second episode has marriage proposals. But the audio description is why I’m here, because this shit is popular, so what is up with the audio description? Coming in hot in Season 7, I didn’t understand how the couples don’t see each other. I had to ask for sighted help. True, I’m jumping in on Season 7, so I have to go back to Season 1 and see how well it was described then. But, I had no idea there was a glass ceiling for example, let alone that basically they are talking to a wall between them. I thought maybe they were wearing a costume or something, or did dates blindfolded. Or maybe it was a reality dating show just for blind people. The audio description gets giant points on the description of the contestants though. Really really strong work.
And, I correctly guessed the eliminated Masked Singer contestant last week. Y’all can go back and look at it. But I knew that was Yvette Nicole Brown, and I was surprised when Ken didn’t immediately guess her. One of the remaining three is definitely Marcy Martin from Black-ish. Sarah McLoughlin makes a ton of sense to me. And I’m dropping my Wayans Bros guess after they said they weren’t related, though I feel like they haven’t been guessed yet. They said they did TV, which is what is throwing me off. So, now that they are just some random dudes, and a trio, with some kind of royalty angle, and TV show background, and can sing that well… I’m a little stumped.
