TV News: I’m pleased as punch to report that tonight’s episode of Saturday Night Live will air with Audio Description Live. Interestingly, the audio description is not performed by an equally capable group of comedic improv performers, but rather highly skilled audio description professionals. For those of us who fight every day for audio description to be added to our favorite shows, like the gang trying to get audio description on Gilmore Girls, just remember. It only took 50 years for SNL to add audio description. So, keep up the fight. Just… it may take a while.

YouTube: The Awards Contender and The Oscar Expert teamed up to discuss the acting categories in the longest YouTube video I’ve watched in a while. This was the crossover YouTube needed.
Movies: Will and Harper (Netflix) with audio description, Apartment 7A (Paramount Plus) with audio description
I think I’m still in hot take mode.
Grotesquery- god love the AD team behind this. the gore is so pervasive and extreme that I’m pleased the audio description team is ‘going there”. I’m adequately repulsed.
Penelope- I haven’t really mentioned this, but after five episodes, I’m pretty sure this is just the Duplass brothers making a mumblecore show, and therefore, the choice of narrator here is fitting the show right. On a side note, I’m really pushing through this. I don’t know who this show is for, but this is one of the oddest choices for a series. A girl just decides to go live in a National Park. It is as boring as it sounds. three episodes left, and I’d kill for a Jason Voorhees twist.
Dr Odyssey- IJust like High Potential, this didn’t have audio description the next day after the series premiere. however, high Potential figured it out by week two. So, perhaps this will. I love Joshua Jackson, so I’m watching another episode, but man this show is dull as well.
The Rings Of Power- This audio description team was gifted a battle episode full of action, and they handled it masterfully. I was really engaged for my favorite episode of the season. this is where they put the budget, and I’m glad this already excellent audio description team worked wonders.
