TV News: Apple Plus axed Time Bandits, which I’m only sad about because Lisa Kudrow was really good in that. Otherwise, that show was a mixed bag. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not, but I assumed it was really expensive for Apple, who released the episodes way faster than they usually do.

TV Shows Watched: The Great North: S4E20 (Hulu) no audio description, Solar Opposites: S5E7 (Hulu) with audio description, English Teacher: S1E4 (Hulu) with audio description, Only Murders In The Building: S4E4 (Hulu) with audio description

Podcasts: The Ezra Klein Show (an Interview), Handsome (I thought Arnold Schwarzenegger would be a guest, not just some pre-recorded question….)

YouTube: None

Movies: the River Wild (Netflix) with audio description

Today, my standing ovation is for the audio description team for Only Murders In The Building, which is a quirky sitcom and often difficult to describe. But this week, which was such a love letter to stunt performers, saw a special guest performance from Paul Rudd playing his own semi-disgruntled Irish stunt double, who in desperation for work does about 10 stunts in under a minute for our intrepid trio. That scene was so well described. From the barrel rolls to cannonballs, flipping his way through things, we got it all. And I thank you for that. If we had blind Emmy’s that you could do a FYC campaign for, I would say take that scene and submit it as your Four your consideration moment. Rarely does the show give the audio description team so much content to work with in a span of time without dialogue, but this worked very well, and I wanted to give it a moment in the sun.
