The Small Screen Diaries- 07/12/24

A rather short day, for readers. I finished Sausage Party: Foodtopia (Amazon), and while I plan on doing a wider review, the short is that I think you would like it if you liked the movie. It is perhaps more risqué as they did not have to appease an MPAA. One episode has its own content advisory, but I kinda saw that writing on the wall.

Then, I knocked out the first half of Exploding Kittens (Netflix), another new adult animation show. The voice cast here is solid, and the concept has promise. For some random reason, God and the Devil have boardrooms that have voted that both can be doing better, so they’ve been sent to earth as cats to learn how to be more good or more evil. They both seem to reside and interact with this one standard family unit, Mom, Dad, Son, Daughter, and a neighbor intentionally named Karen. We make so much adult animation it is so hard to stand out, but after binging the first half, I think this has promise enough. I plan on finishing the rest today.

And that’s it, because i don’t list shows without AD, but it would be nice if the foreign versions of The Traitors had audio description on Peacock…. He said for no reason whatsoever.
