TV Shows Watched: Maul: Shadow Lord: S1E3 (Disney Plus) with audio description, The COunt Of Monte Cristo: S1E4 (PBS) with audio description, One Piece: S2E5 (Netflix) with audio description, DTF: ST Louis: S1E4 (HBO MAX) with audio description, and Malice: S1E5 (Amazon) with audio description

Maul: Shadow Lord- Excellent audio description still, though I have no idea what sport Riley was playing. It didn’t seem to matter to the plot, but I had nothing to ground or compare it to.If you’re an adult, thinking about not watching an animated show, as a conflicted Star Wars fan, this one aims older, and gives off Andor vibes.Plus, Wagner Mora is in the voice cast.

The Count Of Monte Cristo- Edmund begins to screw with those who messed with his life, as he learns a dirty little secret about the detective who sold him out, and targets him while also establishing himself as The count, and someone not to be trifled with. Best thing I’ve watched on PBS in a while. The AD from Media Access is terrific.

One Piece- Still stuck on the island of giants, with their captain under the spell of a toddler having a tea party, the whole crew must work together to survive someone with wax powers. I don’t know how else to describe that to you. Luckily, the AD team does, and I had three great tracks back to back.

DTF St Louis- This series is a mixed bag, but sometimes hits a right note or two. I did enjoy when they went back to the guy who had the hook up on DTF to have him explain the encounter again, and he talks about everything being sexual, and starts imagining this dream out loud of him and Richard Jenkins’s cop. That was amusing. Most of this doesn’t work though.More solid audio description, this one from Zoo Digital.

Malice- Adam is getting closer to revenge, but also closer to being caught. Which will happen first? One person gets too close, and finds out. There’s some decent description happening here as well, and all the little twisty violent moments were done nicely.
