TV Shows Watched: From: S1E10 (MGM Plus) with audio description, The Residence: S1E4 (Netflix) with audio description, Good American Family: S1E4 (Hulu) with audio description, Long Bright River: S1E4 (Peacock) with audio description, Krapapolis: S2E13 (Hulu) no audio description, Grimmsburg: S1E4 (Netflix) with audio description, Devil May cry: S1E2 (Netflix) with audio description, Mobland: S1E1 (Paramount Plus) with audio description, and Elzabeth: S2E? (Paramount Plus) with audio description

Best Episode: From- A series that loves to propose more questions than answers continued to leave its audience in the lurch for its Season 1 finale, cementing itself as the reason to have an MGM Plus subscription (even for just one month to binge watch this whole thing).

Runner Up: Elzabeth- Our titular lawyer turned detective had to solve the murder of someone shot with an arrow, and of course, we all knew… the medium did it! But, it’s all about the journey, and the wonderful ensemble.

Best Audio Description: From- This science fiction/horror series has plenty to describe every episode, and certainly did not disappoint in a finale laden with spiders and nightmares.

Runner Up: devil May cry- this anime has some killer audio description.

Best Performance: Harold Perrineau (From)- He went through a lot in this episode. originally believing the only way forward is through, he is sidetracked when he hears a voice that reminds him he can’t trust anything out here, and starts to lose his mind. Luckily, Sarah has the ability to be the voice of reason.

Runner Up: Randall Park (The Residence), Mark Duplass (good American Family), Amanda Seyfried (Long Bright River), Carrie Preston (Elzabeth), Guy Ritchie (Mobland)- park has been doing nice work opposite Uzo Aduba, and is worth mentioning. He had a funny scene where he breaks down the multitude of lies one person has told, only to get a deadpan reaction from our detective. Duplass has supported a terrific Ellen Pompeo performance in a show that seems to side with Christine a lot, and in the 4th episode he finally seems at his own breaking point with Natalia when she calls 911 to order pizza, and wishes the rest of the family would die. Seyfried has been excellent throughout the series, but has some heartbreaking moments in episode 4, including one with her son when her ex comes reluctantly to the birthday party. Preston is always terrific in Elzabeth, but has this moving scene where the medium hits a nerve. And, I’m mentioning Ritchie for his direction of the Mobland pilot, which could easily be lost in the sea of Taylor Sheridan shows, but is given a bit of a pulse by a talented director on the pilot.

Best Moment Of Audio Description: Arachnophobia much? (From)- that spider sequence. No spoilers. But, that will give people with arachnophobia chills to the bone.

Runner Up: Scratch That Itch (Mobland)- Sometimes, it is just the thing we remember to describe. I laughed when the audio description mentioned a little moment when Pierce Brosnan’s character scratches his crotch right before a morning stroll. Bond. James Bond. You don’t think he’s slept with all those women without catching some crabs do you? That image should leave you shaken and stirred.

Worst Of…- Krapapolis doesn’t have audio description, so it is the loser of the day.
