I’m not really sure what was going on with the actress playing Crystal on The Connors (Hulu), but her few lines were some of the worst line readings I had heard in a long time. Honestly, it felt like a regular person had won the chance to be on The Connors from their live studio audience, and had never acted before. I loved the meta moment where Darlene was trying to answer a trivia question in which she would be the answer in the real world.

I also watched Abbott Elementary’s (Hulu) very special post-Oscar episode, which was hilarious as usual. it’s just a shame that the narration has gone down the tubes.

Not that the narration on The Traitors (Peacock) is much better. I’m a little behind, but we did finally do the inevitable, and voted out Fedra. I think Kate trying to point out Sandra put a weird vibe on her, which wasn’t smart. She should have entered every conversation like it was Fedra, because there was no way that round table was going anywhere else. But the physical challenge, I didn’t really understand it, because I heard pontoon boats, but also platforms, and I just couldn’t visualize in my head what they were doing. The audio description could have made that more clear.

I am really enjoying The Dynasty (Apple Plus), from all perspectives. I’m not a fan of football, The Patriots, or Tom Brady, but the series is really well made, and I feel engaged and educated after. Plus, the narration is well made for a docuseries where people are constantly talking.

I am now balancing Ghosts UK (Paramount Plus) and the American remake. I’m in the second season of the UK version, and this is a fun franchise to have two versions of. Kind of like The Traitors, which I hope has uploaded the second season of either the UK or Australia versions for me to follow when I’m done with the American one.

I finished Boy Swallows The universe (Netflix), and let me just tell the five of you that haven’t watched yet. There is a rating on this series, and it includes gore. you will watch episodes and wonder, where is this gore you speak of? The final episode. It’s in the final episode. Wow. Just. Wow. Content advisory for sure. I mean, the audio description was on point, but there was nothing to suggest I’d get some of those images I now have embedded in my head. Very descriptive, and horror fans would go nuts.
