TV News: Paramount Plus has axed the Frasier revival after just two seasons. Your move NBC. I’m looking right at that Night Court reboot. It is time.

TV Shows Watched: Goosebumps: S1E7 (Disney Plus) with audio description, The Traitors: S3E44 (Peacock) with audio description, On Call: S1E8 (Amazon) with audio description, 911: S8:E8 (Hulu) with audio description, Krapapolis: S2E9 (Hulu) no audio description, Landman: S1E? (Paramount Plus) with audio description, and The Rookie: S7E2 (Hulu) with audio description.

Movies Watched: La Cocina (Screener) no audio description, Inheritance (screener) no audio description, Poolman (Hulu) no audio description

Best Episode: The Traitors- I didn’t see that coming. Someone is a very good player at this game, and someone I thought was safe, ended up being not safe. What a surprise.

Runner Up (TIE): The Rookie, On Call, and Goosebumps- All three were really strong. The Rookie had an interesting vigilante situation and a heavily involved shootout, On Call also had a tense finale that involved shooting, and goosebumps took a flashback.

Best Performance: Boston Rob (The Traitors)- Damn. Dude can play this game. I wouldn’t have voted with him, because I would have likely taken a swing at one of the girls in the coffin, because previous seasons a traitor has put themselves in danger, so I would have tried to figure out which one of the two was one, but he got the room on his side. That’s a very different kind of performance, but for a person they all admit is cutthroat and not trustworthy, they surely followed him.

Runner Up:Billy Bob Thornton (Landman)- He had to deliver the line “If you ever questioned whether or not I love you, remember that I’m not on top of you choking you right now” or something to that effect. I like Taylor Sheridan shows. I’m not trying to drag him. But this show has some awful writing, and some awful acting. Without billy bob Thornton, no one would watch this. He deserves some kind of Medal of Honor for making this show watchable.

Best Audio Description: Goosebumps- yes, again. There’s just so much the team at Zoo Digital is doing here. I really like it, and I think they’re doing some really strong work this season.

Runner Up (Tie): on Call and The Rookie- Two very similar shows both had well written shootouts.

Best moment Of Audio Description (Tie): On Call and The Rookie- I feel like I always defer to a moment from goosebumps, but this week I’m actually picking both of the shootouts in these cop dramas. I thought they were well described. Action Packed!

Runner Up: Goosebumps- I don’t know how to really describe this without spoilers, but… there is a craft, of some kind, there are scientists, and a scene in which the lead scientist uses a substance on the craft. If you know, you know.

Worst Of… Anything?- Well, none of the movies I watched had audio description. I actually felt like this episode of The Traitors was a slight improvement, and there was a better tracking of players. Marginal, but noticeable. The problem is, they are so poorly established, with most of the cast not being introduced as which show they came from. these guys don’t even have last names. Cool. Jeremy. From where? Like, sometimes someone will mention something in dialogue, but 4 episodes in and there are still people I’m not sure where they are from. That’s a problem.
