The movie follows a military group of black women who took up the mail responsibilities during World War II. They help clear the mail backlog and deliver messages to loved ones back home. It sees them overcome the odds to complete their job.
Best Parts
The movie has an important message and shows another group of heroic people whose stories are not always the first to be remembered. We get great performances with the traditional bond creation between the group of misfits.
Worst Parts
The movie has an important story, but it doesn’t feel like it has as big of an impact as it should. It feels like there is a lot more importance to the events that the movie fails to bring to life.
Final Thoughts –The Six Triple Eight delivers an important story from World War II.
