Episode 11 – Homer’s Triple Bypass
Couch Gag – This time the family are all small and have to help each other onto the sofa.
Plot Synopsis – Years of poor eating habits catch up with Homer when he suffers a massive heart attack. The family can’t afford the triple bypass operation he needs from Dr. Hibbert, so they go to a discount quack named Nick Riviera
What is going on really – We start by watching a piss take of the show ‘Cops’ looking at how bad Wiggum and the crew are. Watching this is an overeating Homer who starts to have heart pain which leads to his having a triple bypass, visiting the hospital we get to see a string of accidents the residents of Springfield have had.
Homer learns that he will need open heart surgery to fix the problem, but he needs to find $30,000 for the operation, during the process we get one of Homer’s best dumbed out lines question Dr Hibbert’s Hippopotamus oath.
Homer must search high and low for an answer to make the operation affordable and Dr Nick is the answer they need. Homer also turns to God for the answers something we are not used to seeing from him.

Final Thoughts – This is an important episode once more because we see how a parent could be on deaths door and need to see how the family and friends react. We also get the warning about over eating and a look at the over priced health care in America.
