Plot: A detective with hearing loss and a deaf witness to a murder must lean on each other to outsmart killers they can’t hear coming when cornered in an abandoned apartment block.

Story: The Silent Hour starts when Detective Frank Shaw (Kinnaman) is injured. Frank is losing his hearing in the aftermath of his accident and is left questioning his future on the force. He is called to help with a deaf witness Ava (Frank) who witnessed a crime by mobster Lynch (Phifer).
Frank and Ava find themselves trapped in a tower block getting hunted by Lynch and his team. They must work together to find a solution and bring down the criminals before it is too late.
Verdict on The Silent Hour

The movie follows a detective who is losing his hearing while helping a witness. They become trapped by a ruthless gangster who hunts them through a tower block. The detective must use his experience to escape and bring them down once and for all.
Best Parts
The movie brings a contained environment which increases the tension. It adds in the deaf and going deaf characters to keep us wondering what will happen. We get strong performances and the use of sound to show the situation through the deaf character’s point of view.
Worst Parts
The plot feels predictable and anything that is designed as a surprise feels like something you saw coming a mile away.
Final Thoughts –The Silent Hour is late-night thriller 101.
