Plot: A man finds himself trapped in a desert canyon with a woman living off-grid who is captive to a pack of sadistic boys.

Story: The Seeding starts when Wyndham Stone (Haze) heads into the desert for a photoshoot. He soon finds himself trying to help a lost child before investigating a home in a canyon. Alina (Sheil) lives in the home and offers him shelter for the night.
However, when the morning comes, he finds the ladder to the canyon gone. As he searches for a way out, he finds a group of feral children preventing him from escaping. They torment his escape plans, as Alina tells him of the impossibility of escape. However, he doesn’t want to accept this and decides even harder to figure out his escape plan, as he looks to outsmart the group holding them in the canyon.
Verdict on The Seeding
The Seeding is a horror thriller following a man who finds himself getting trapped in a canyon. He only has one woman for company, and he gets terrorised by feral children holding them in the canyon. The more he searches for help, the more danger he finds himself in.
This is a slow-moving horror, that fizzles along with a disturbing feeling. The dread felt throughout takes over. However, this controls everything, and the more shocking moments are held back. Granted there are shocking and disturbing moments, but they feel more like the aftermath, than the action happening. We get great performances and a brilliant location to drill home the horror involved. However, the pacing can make this feel a lot longer than it is.
