Centuries ago, one of the Endless gave up his duties and left his realm, never to be seen again. Now on a mission to find their missing sibling, Delirium and Dream encounter immortal humans and various deities as they try to locate the prodigal Destruction. But as their adventure draws Dream into a final, tragic confrontation with his son Orpheus, the eternal being learns the true meaning of fate and consequences. This collection of THE SANDMAN #41-49 features a new cover by Dave McKean.

I enjoy The Sandman more and more with each volume. Then books all tell different stories but are connected through characters, locations and subtle references. This is one of my favourite books in the series so far. Much of the book is focused on Dream and Delirium searching for their older brother Destruction who turned his back on the family and his duties centuries ago. I love Delirium. There's something appealing about her. The other Endless all feature as well as a host of new characters as Dream and Delirium discover not everyone 'lost' wants to be found and sometimes interference has a cost.
