Thoughts on The Sadness
Characters & Performances – Jim and Kat are the couple that aer separated during the virus outbreak, with Jim looking to travel to Kat, he will see the violence first hand in the open world, while Kt will find herself trapped within the tight corridors of a hospital, with enemies around almost every corner. The two will give us two different sides to this twisted world to follow, with Kat having the much more intense battle to survive. When it comes to the people the pair meet, the creepy Businessman following Kat is terrifying, always appearing when Kat feels she is safe, while others will bring a fresh approach to the sadist mindset the infected have. The film is filled with the twisted performance, but the survivors ones are just as strong, in the battle to do what is right for a loved one.
Story – The story here will follow two survivors of a virus outbreak that must find a way back to each other with a host of sadistic infected people chasing them down. The story will keep things simple, letting the sadistic side of the movie take over, with the two paths giving the two a different journey, as they seek the person they love for safety. It will show a different concept to the basic zombie infection, with the infected having a human emotional side to them, only they are driven to the sadistic ways.
Themes – The Sadness is a violent action horror that simply doesn’t hold back on anything we are seeing, it will unleash huge amounts of sadistic ideas of the worst humans could do to each other, this will show some excellent effects work off in the movie. The locations will give us a chance to see the two paths, one through the countryside, the other through the chaos filled streets.
Final Thoughts – The Sadness is one of the most twisted movies you will see this year.
