Days to treasure
The other day, Harvey and I had a lazy ol’ day of watching anime, eating snacks aplenty and buying as many Naked juices as we could carry in our 5p-bag-less states. I remember we laid and laughed for possibly a solid half hour about something silly that happened as we were attempting to sleep in a too-hot-no-too-cold bedroom the night before. It’s these inconsequential, otherwise forgettable days that I think I treasure the most. Our first holiday together, Christmas, birthdays… Valentine’s Day. Gosh, I’m not sure I’m a fan of that last one. We sat and planned for Valentine’s Day before realising that, actually, every day is Valentine’s Day. It is for me, anyway. Every day is filled with butterflies and sweet things and tiny gestures of love. It’s not balloons and love hearts and teddies - yack! - but it’s real. I like it.'Don't be in such a rush to figure everything out. Embrace the unknown and let your life surprise you.'
I will not, however, give up my right to a rose. (Hayfever, please be kind.)
Chinese rose
This embroidered shirt is one of my personal favourites from the shop. Aptly named ‘Rose’, it’s made from a lighter cotton twill in olive green with beautiful rose embroidery at the yoke. I really freaking love it. It buttons all the way to the top but I often wear it with a button undone or completely open with a camisole or body underneath.
