On a short trip to Arizona last month, I stayed at the Ritz Carlton. It was one of the only hotels I did not see in my Arizona/southwest journey last summer. I jsut assumed it was run down and wasn't high on my list. When I arrived I was completely shocked- I knew they went through a renovation, but the lobby and all the public spaces on the ground floor were truly beautiful. The front desk attendants saw I was tired and made the check in as quick as possible. I checked into my deluxe room on Club Lounge, took a bath with my favorite Bulgari products and got an incredible nights sleep in the famous heavenly Ritz Carlton bed.
