Verdict on The Redemption of Sin
Recap
The movie follows a mother desperately searching for her missing daughter. She turns to different people who offer other support. However, she is haunted by events from her past.
Best Parts
The movie does a good job of keeping us guessing as we follow the search. It takes us in unexpected directions and dives into areas we wouldn’t expect. Elsewhere, a creepy series of events haunts Wening in her search, which adds good scare moments.
Worst Parts
It takes too long to expose the truth and a lot of the paths feel overly misleading. Not enough of the story feels connected and when the truth comes out, if can feel like we have been stuck between a couple of genres which don’t get explored enough.
Final Thoughts –The Redemption of Sin has good scares but a story which tries too much for impact.
