The Rebellious Flower Crown Challenge

By Outofmyshed @OutofmyShed

The Rebellious Flower Crown ChallengeLast year our community gardening project held a hugely enjoyable Dog Show in May as part of the Chelsea Fringe. For obvious reasons, we can’t all get together for such a hoot this year, but the Chelsea Fringe is still happening in a smaller, virtual way from 16th-24th May. Hurrah!!

The Rebellious Flower Crown Challenge

So we’ve joined forces with the fantastic Rebel Rebel florists (Athena and Mairead above, and their team) in Hackney in E. London, to hold a virtual Chelsea Fringe Floral Crown Competition on Insatgram.

Have a listen to our latest podcast to hear all about the competition, and to hear how Rebel Rebel is coping during Covid.

The Competition

From Friday 15th May at 3pm Rebel Rebel will have a free ‘How to make a floral crown tutorial’ on their Instagram feed to help you conjure up a floral headdress for you dog, cat or any inanimate object that can wear a crown, such as a mop head, a saucepan, a garden sculpture or a table lamp. The world is your oyster!

All you have to do is post a pic on Instagram of your dog, cat or inanimate object, wearing their floral crown, with the hashtag #headyfringeflowers The deadline for entries is midnight on Friday 22nd May and the winner will be announced on Friday 29th May on this blog, on the ‘Over The Garden’ Fence podcast, and on both Rebel Rebel’s and my Instagram feed.
