Walk into any quality liquor or craft beer store and you're bound to be overwhelmed by the number of choices. If you don't know EXACTLY what you're looking for, you could be there for hours, or you could wind up having to call a friend for advice. Lord knows we've received many a call or text from a friend in need of beer buying advice!
Sure, beer hunting can be fun, but sometimes, don't you wish that there was someone out there to do the heavy lifting for you, i.e. picking out some interesting beers for you to try that you probably would have never picked for yourself? Thankfully, Kris Calef of monthlyclubs.com is here to help via one of the following five monthly clubs that will deliver unique beers right to your front porch:
Way back in early November, Kris reached out to us and asked if we'd like to receive a sample shipment from the monthly beer club of our choosing. Being the highfalutin beer bloggers/vloggers that we are, we chose to receive a sample from The Rare Beer Club. The two beers in the November shipment hailed from Vietnam ( Pasteur Street Brewing Company's Cyclo Stout) and Belgium ( To Øl - Chateau Øl).
On today's episode of A Tasting at The Murder Table, we discuss the particulars of The Rare Beer Club and weigh the pluses and minuses of joining such a club. During our "value proposition" chat, we also pick a beer from the November selections and review it. To see and hear all that we had to say, click the play button on the following video:
If you like what you saw and heard, please subscribe to our blog and YouTube Channel. It's the easiest and BEST way to find out what we'll be tasting next!
