Must read comics of the week

may140695

Alex + Ada #8

Things are really starting to pick up for Alex. After exhausting his research into making Ada, his live in robot companion, more life like, they are now living under paranoia of getting caught due to the restrictions on robots (that keep getting stricter this issue).

Batman

Batman Eternal #18

Killer Croc attacks! On the other side of the city Batwoman, Batgirl, and Red Hood team up to find evidence freeing Commissioner Gordon.

Horror

Nailbiter #4

Our heroes go to the Serial Killer Graveyard, quite the ominous sounding location where they will literally dig for answers. Big fan of this book, I hope people are reading it. It is funny and adventurous and mysterious. It feels like something that could have been pitched as a tv show, considering how many horrors shows there are now. Really glad this is a comic.

Avengers

New Avengers #22

After spending issues destroying planets that were on a collision course with Earth, the Illuminati suddenly got gunshy. No one could pull the trigger this time, except Namor. Now, they are turning on each other over what exactly constitutes the greater good.

Guardians of the Galaxy

Rocket Raccoon #2

Framed for crimes he didn’t commit by a legion of his ex-girlfriends, Rocket is on the run trying to clear his name. Check out the solo series of one of this summer’s breakout characters. If you haven’t seen Guardians of the Galaxy in theaters yet, what are you waiting for?

Spider-Man

Superior Spider-Man #32

Superior Spider-Man is back! Waitaminute, Superior Spider-Man is back? This one-shot issue (apparently) kicks off an upcoming event called Spider-Verse, a sequel to Spider-Men, which will see Peter Parker and Miles Morales re-team along with a number of other alt-Spider-Men.
