Must Read Comics for the week of  8/28/2013

Deadpool Wolverine Captain America

Deadpool #15

Publisher: Marvel

Lowdown: I always thought a Weapon X arc titled The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly, with Wolverine, Sabretooth, and Deadpool as good, bad, and ugly would have been awesome. Well here it is, except with some major changes. Sabretooth isn’t involved (at least not with the title). Wolverine is the bad, and Captain America is the good. Deadpool is still ugly of course.

Ant-Man Fantastic Four

FF #11

Publisher: Marvel

Lowdown: The Fantastic Four’s older enemies, the Impossible Man, a ripoff of Superman’s Mxyzptlik, goes up against their substitutes, Ant-Man and his Future Foundation.

Justice League

Justice League #23

Publisher: DC Comics

Lowdown: The conclusion of Trinity War (and I double checked because lately the solicits have been misleading between concluding issues and penultimate issues).

JUN130240

Teen Titans #23

Publisher: DC Comics

Lowdown: Teen Titans is a book I have been in and out of due to consistency issues, but I’m hoping for some good stuff to come. Raven and Beast Boy have joined the team, and it looks like Kid Flash’s past (our future) might finally be revealed.

Thor

Thor God Of Thunder #12

Publisher: Marvel

Lowdown: Now that the very awesome God-Butcher storyline is over, Thor is returning to Midgard (Earth). Also includes the return of Jane Foster.

Avengers

Young Avengers #9

Publisher: Marvel

Lowdown: The Young Avengers trip through the omniverse is coming to a close, which is too bad because they never really slowed down long enough for us to get an entertaining look at their alternate versions. But after what happened between Hulking and Prodigy at the end of the last issue, I really want to see where this ends up going.
