Buzz-worthy books of the week
Black Panther #1No surprise here. Panther, the next big addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe come Captain America: Civil War (sorry Spidey), is getting a solo book for the first time in a while. This time he is being spear-headed by a writer who is an experienced journo who focused on social and political themes.
Bloodlines #1The new 52 are getting their own Bloodlines arc, an event from the '90s about an infestation of parasitic aliens the imparted superpowers on their victims.
Grizzly Shark #1I have no idea what this is, but I am intrigued by the solicitation saying it was returning in color and as a series. I haven't heard of it, but it sounds like it is a cult classic that I should have.
Old Man Logan #4Old man Logan vs Old man Rogers
Rough Riders #1An American League of Extraordinary Gentlemen that sees Teddy Roosevelt assemble a team of would-be American legends before they became legends.
Spider-Woman Alpha #1Spinning off of the Spidey-verse, Spider-Woman, Silk, and Spider-Gwen team up to take on a nefarious spy organization from Gwen's home universe.
Star Wars Poe Dameron #1I'll be honest. I'm probably not going to read this. The Star Wars extended universe is vast and dense, and could easily take over all my free time. But Poe Dameron was a cool character for what little screen time he had. I figured someone might be interesting.
