Guardians of the Galaxy #13
This is the finale of the Trial of Jean Grey. The Guardians and the Young X-Men swooped in to save the day butting heads impressively with the Shi’ar Imperial Guard, but Jean seems to agree with Gladiator that she should be punished. Nice to know Jean’s always been pretty daffy.
Hawkeye #18
Marvel pulled a switcheroo. Hawkeye 17 and 18 were switched. So this week is the issue I said was coming out last time will actually be coming out this time. Oops!
Iron Patriot #1
Thanks to some nice corporate synergy, Rhodey is no longer War Machine. He’s now Iron Patriot. He was working with the Secret Avengers, but he quit to go on his own adventures.
Silver Surfer #1
As part of Marvel Now’s burst of #1 issues, Silver Surfer gets his own title again. Mike Alldred who was illustrating the trippy FF takes on the even trippier cosmic world of the Silver Surfer, who is challenged by an Earth girl to explore even further than the known universe.
Uncanny Avengers #18
It turns out the Apocalypse Twins wanted to create an alternate reality much like when Franklin created a new world in the whole Heroes Reborn story. They created Planet X, an alternate world where the Wasp is the only human left persued by Magneto’s X-Force and protected by her husband, Havok.
