Must read comics of the week
Ant-Man #1
By the time this posts I’m pretty sure the Ant-Man trailer will have debuted. And with that movie on the way, it was only a matter of time before Scott Lang came back to the comics in his own title.
Feathers #1
A reclusive boy covered in feathers dodge gangs and child snatchers in gothic neighborhood featuring an art style that reminds me of Mike Mignola. Hopefully the tone is very similar too.
Hawkeye vs Deadpool #4
The finale issue of one of the funnest Marvel books of the year. It’s always fun when someone gets Deadpool right. Teaming up with the two quippy Hawkeyes is the cherry on top.
Lady Killer #1
A new comedy series that stars a 1960s housewife who also happens to be a goddamn hitman.
Nailbiter #9
The town of Buckaroo, Oregon produces the highest amount of serial killers than any other US city. But which of the current kids will grow up to be the next one? Or few?
Operation Sin #1
Hey look at this. A new mini-series focusing on Howard Stark and Peggy Carter tracking down alien energy sources in Russia during the ’50s. What could possibly have inspired this comic? P.S. Agent Carter premieres this week.
Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #1
For some reason, everyone loves Squirrel Girl. She has quite the following. I certainly don’t hate her, but I never thought of her as this awesome. Now, she is getting her own series. Here’s hoping the fans get what they want.
Wolverines #1
After the death of Wolverine, his supporting cast including his rogues and some new Weapon X subjects are all going to team up to make sure his remains (encased in adamantium) are recovered and given a proper send-off.
