The Public Doesn't Approve Of Trump's Foreign Policy
One of the issues where the public parts with the Trump administration is on how foreign policy is being handled. By an 8 point margin (39% approve to 47% disapprove), the public doesn't like the way Trump is handling foreign policy.
One of the reasons for this is the way the public views certain countries as friends or enemies, and the way they perceive Trump views those countries. For example, the public has a significantly higher view of some of our best allies (Canada, Germany, Japan, United Kingdom) than they perceive Trump as having. And they think Trump has a higher view of North Korea and Russia than they do.
These charts use information contained in the latest Economist / YouGov Poll -- done between August 5th and 7th of a national sample of 1,500 adults, with a 3.1 point margin of error..
