BMW Motorrad, the two-wheeler arm of the famous German brand BMW, known for its luxury cars, has decided to increase the prices of all its motorcycles in India. Which is effective from January 1 at all BMW Motorrad outlets across the country. According to the company, the price of bikes has increased by up to 2.5 percent across models and variants.
BMW Motorrad hikes bike prices in India
This price increase depends on the motorcycle and the segment. For example, currently the G310R and G310GS are the most affordable BMW bikes sold in the Indian market. So due to the entry level pricing, the prices of these bikes are expected to increase at the lowest rate.
TVS is manufacturing bikes in the 300 cc category like the G310R and G310GS in India with a manufacturing license from BMW. That's why their prices are somewhat affordable. On the other hand, buyers will spend more to buy the premium model due to its higher price. Because such bikes are marketed to meet the needs of affluent buyers.
BMW Motorrad now sells a total of 24 motorcycles in India, and the number is over 30 counting variants. They are planning to launch several new bikes in the country this year. Note that BMW has increased the prices of their four-wheelers from January 1. Prices of imported cars ranging from locally assembled models to fully manufactured have increased by up to 3 percent.
