The Playlist: August

The Playlist: AugustOne of last month's favourites, The Dangerous Summer feature again this month, but if you've listened to their new album 'Golden Record' you really can't blame me!

So The Dangerous Summer are back with 'Golden Record' and I'm so excited to go see them next month with my boyfriend. 'Sins' is such a good song and the band just released the music video for the track today. If like me, you can't get enough, check our the deluxe album for a stripped back demo version of the song. I really can't rate these guys enough!

Don Broco just put up a video for new single 'You Wanna Know' around a week ago and sure enough, after one listen, I loved it. It's got such an 80's vibe, funky bassline and it's incredibly catchy; exactly what you'd expect from the Bedford lads!

Andy is completely responsible for getting me into Sugarcult. He found old mix cds he'd made when he was younger and Sugarcult were one of the bands featured. If you're a fan of pop-punk then give them a listen! They were all I listened to on the train up to Edinburgh last Wednesday for The Network (post here) and it's so hard to pick just one album, but I really love 'Palm Trees And Power Lines' and 'Memory' was one of the first songs I heard.

Fall Out Boy are without a doubt one of my favorite bands and I can't quite explain how much I want to see them live. Obviously I couldn't go to Leeds to see them there due to being at The Network (plus I'd much rather see them at their own gig, which leads me on to their Glasgow date, which sold out ridiculously quick!) so I'm keeping all extremities crossed that they'll announce a UK tour. I've been listened to 'From Under The Cork Tree' a lot lately and 'Sugar We're Goin' Down' will always give me goosebumps.

What's been on your playlist this month?
