The Pixel 6a Won’t Use the Same Fingerprint Sensor as the Pixel 6

While many complain about the performance of the fingerprint sensor on Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro for the past six months, things may be different for the upcoming Pixel 6A. Changes do not guarantee that all problems will be resolved, but Google has confirmed that the upcoming mid-range phones are expected to display the fingerprint sensor that is being played, will not use the same in-display sensor as the previous telephone was done before.

The news came to a report from Android Central, who said he had confirmed changes with Google’s senior vice president, Rick Osterloh. More specific details are not revealed.

While the issue of opening fingerprints on Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro does not seem to affect everyone, many complain about the problem, and our review on Android Police shows problems at launch. The best way to describe the performance at that time is “inconsistent,” with a fingerprint sensor sometimes failed to work properly, paired with a lock opening time that seems random. Some device owners claim that the subsequent update improves performance, and Google’s changelog strengthens that the fingerprint sensor has been -Tweak in software from time to time. But even today, the performance of the fingerprint opening on Google’s last mobile phone is not suitable for other high -class devices.

At one point, Google claims that “an upgraded security algorithm” can be responsible for the observed performance. Changes in hardware may not always improve things by themselves.

Previous excavations showed that Pixel 6 and 6 Pro used the Goodix optical sensor, but the previous effort to confirm that the producers themselves were flown – agreements or other contracts may have prevented that. Other cellphones that have used Goodix Sensors have a fantastic fingerprint unlocking performance (like OnePlus Phones), which makes the Pixel 6 Series ‘problem’ more confusing. It is not clear whether Pixel 6A will use another goodix sensor (the company produces more than one) or if a different brand or technology will be used. The sensor under the display comes more than one type.

Google also has an ongoing problem with the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro fingerprint sensors failed “calibrated” correctly after repairs in certain cases. Bug reports for this problem show that the problem is still not resolved, even though the nature of the problem is inconsistent.

Different” hardware does not mean “better,” but opens the door to improve the performance of fingerprint opening on Pixel 6A, which has several large shoes to be filled as a follow -up to one of the best products last year. Pixel 5A is a very good cellphone, and although the capacitive fingerprint sensor installed behind has shallow lips that make it difficult to find without cases, it is consistent, fast, and reliable. Hopefully, we can say the same thing about Pixel 6A.

Among the other Pixel 6A hardware details that you can follow, the upcoming mobile phone will display a special tensor chipset such as the Pixel 6 series, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage with a $ 450 price label.
