The Perfect Flight – First Class Upgrade, Skyfall on Screen (and Chicken Cooked by Jamie Oliver)

Posted on the 10 September 2013 by 72point @72hub

The perfect long-haul flight would have Prince William at the controls, David Walliams as head of cabin crew and involve an upgrade to First Class, according to a new poll. The ideal meal would be chicken cooked by Jamie Oliver and served 48 minutes after the ideal take-off time of 10.45am.

Free champagne would be available 27 minutes into the flight, and the James Bond blockbuster Skyfall would be the favorite film.

The survey of 2,000 regular flyers also found that passengers would like to be nine miles from their departure airport and board their perfect flight 32 minutes after check-in.

Seats would be in rows of two with a window seat midway down the aircraft rated the best and there would be a maximum of 66 passengers.

Children would be allowed – only if quiet – and a six-strong cabin crew would be on hand to pamper everyone.

Travellers would like 7kgs of hand luggage and prefer to keep it with them instead of stowing away.

Having a nap is also on the wish list – with a 31-minute doze the ideal length.

The poll was commissioned for All Nippon Airways and spokesman Yutaka Ito said:

”It’s understandable that people would want a character like Prince William piloting their plane.

”He is intelligent and calm and flies for a living so he is an excellent choice.

”It seems having Jamie Oliver on board would also add that extra bit of excitement.

”Everyone likes a bit of luxury now and again, especially when it comes to long journeys and flights so it’s not surprising passengers have opted for First Class and champagne.

”The flight is just the start of the holiday so making sure it’s as comfortable and relaxing as possible, gets the break off to a good start.”

Mr Ito added:

”We agree that the holiday should start as soon you arrive at the airport, and as a five star airline, ANA is committed to give passengers luxury service and experience throughout their journey.

”As Japan’s largest airline, ANA is passionate about giving passengers exceptional customer experience, inspired by traditional Japanese hospitality – Omotenashi.”
